when a vi is run in normal mode it gives proper output. But when it is used as a subvi, it even not at all entering run mode. When observed with highlight execution mode, when the green running mark enters the subvi node, it stops immediately. Any issues?
Thanks,
Mathan

Hi BLAQmx, I personally facing the same problem with HANI. I use LabView 8.5 and DIAdem 10.2. These are the chronologies :1. I made the LVM with File I/O - Write to Measurement File
--> OK2. Check the result with Waveform Graph --> OK3. Open that .LVM file with DIAdem --> Can't read the file (see attachment) 4. Create the .vi in LabView to read the .lvm file, re-write it into .TDM file and check the result using Waveform Graph --> OK5. Open the .TDM file with DIAdem --> Can't read the file6. Do the same steps with similar PC with same National Instruments products installed7. The DIAdem succesfully open both .LVM and .TDM files. So, what happen to my first PC ?.

Hi Samer,
you can use the build waveform vi´s to create this shape. Or do you have a formula of it? What do you mean with "as long as the time goes on"?

I have a series of string and numeric variables, which I enable and disable via a property node in an event structure using a simple boolean (labelled 'enable'). I am writing code that remembers what state 'enable' was in (saving a simple text file). I want to be able to press another boolean, a load button say, to get this file and use it to change the state of 'enable'. Basically loading previous settings. Changing the state of 'enable' programmatically does not trigger the event structure; only a manual click of the mouse does.Is there any way to force an event structure to trigger from a programmatical change AND a mouse click in 'enable'? If so, how? If not, any suggestions?I've written a simple test program that illustrates what I mean, if that helps.Paul

Gents, I am an absolutley beginner in LabView, but working very hard on it to get a progress.I"ve got great help here at this pages how to find out the first steps installing 2 DSO Scopes Hitachi VC-7104, which are connected via PCI-GPIB.Equipment, settings and communication inside the automation explorer is working perfect.I found a free LabView version inside a PC Magazine, its the LabView 6.1 and I want to let them communicate with my DSO's.There is a driver available but for only for the LabView 7 version. Can anybody convert this file and explain to me how to install it later at LabView 6.1 ??I would be very happy, because my old method was writing data's into the PCMCIA-SRAM card at the DSOand pull out it for reading outit later in a PC, crazy method.Best regards from Germany!Th...

Hi all. I'm struggling with a chart to which I programmatically add and
remove plots. When I wire an empty array to the Value property it
clears the plot, as expected, but each of the plot definitions still
remains. This can be seen by simply inspecting the legend, snapshot
below. How can I remove these definitions?
 http://forums.ni.com/attachments/ni/170/343219/1/legend1.jpg">
I've read that this is supposed to be a good thing, but it's not
for me. I programmatically enlarge and shrink the legend to show the
number of plots, so as the user clicks "Add Data to Plot" the legend
size increases. This works fine, but once the legend reaches ten elements deep, I turn on the vertical scroll bar and keep the legend size constant. But the vertical scroll bar allows the user to see
all previously...

The example you are referring is using a scale to do this. The transducer for the example in the course creates a voltage between 0-1V which is V * 100 = Degree Celsius. If you include such a scale (modify it since the simulated devices do not create a "stable" voltage between 0..1V), you will get something useful for you.hope this helps,Norbert

Which simulated DAQ device would give a value between 0 - 50? I am trying to run LabVIEW Basics I course project (weather station) by simulating a DAQ device in MAX. (The no hardware version works fine, but I want to use MAX to help it run with a DAQ simulated device). The simulated devices have a range to -10 to 10 volts, while the DAQ Assistant expects a value between 0 - 50. Which DAQ device can solve this problem in MAX? I don't want to alter the VI's. Any suggestions?
