Why NetBeans works so slow and runs oddly?

Author: Rebecca
Date: Dec 25, 2008 04:34

I am using NetBeans IDE 6.5 (latest version), which almost drives me
crazy.

- Very long time to build a project.

- Extremely long time in debugging.
It takes almost 5 minutes for a complicated GUI displayed during
debugging.

- Seldom stops at the right break points or refuses to breaks at all.
During debugging, the "step over" stops at strange lines, sometimes at
blank lines or comments.

This is my first time using NetBeans. I have been using Eclipse for
long, but find it too slow. It takes one minute to display the Java
Application GUI (standalone console).

  Natively compiled Eclipse

The new Jet beta apparently will compile Eclipse and let you run it in
native mode. It might be somewhat more responsive. I have not tried
it.

issue with ant and project builds w/ Java Server Pages project

Author: Damon Getsman
Date: Sep 16, 2008 07:48

I have a large project that I'm working on right now written primarily
in .jsp. It is used primarily to enter, sort, and process data from
several MySQL tables on the back-end. Unfortunately the previous coder
has written it almost entirely in JSP; to the point where almost all
of the logic, database access, and other functions that should
normally go in beans is written in JSP tags. Anyway, I digress...

This project was handed off to me in a NetBeans project bundle. I had
a lot of issues with NetBeans, so I switched to Eclipse. The new
version of eclipse seemed broken in some areas, too, so I ended up
switching to editing my files with 'vim' on my Linux system,
rebuilding with 'ant', and then redeploying and troubleshooting under
tomcat6+apache on my local webserver.

Hi,

I want a command-line tool that I can give

(A) class-file and source-file directories;
(B) one or more target classes

and it will extract exactly those class files and source files
necessary to compile and run all the target classes. What is the best
tool for this?

many thanks,

Roger

Java - Jobs, Interview Questions, Certification

Author: Naveen

Hi,

In the very fast moving IT Industry, there is a need for the people
to keep a note of what is happening in the field, what are the latest
Jobs available and in which technologies they are available and what
companies and also in which cities.

And also when applying for Jobs, it is obvious for people to look for
Interview Questions in their Technologies and if they are able to
find it all at one place, then they can concentrate on studying or
doing R&D further on those questions and answers available.

And for a better pay pack people are always in a mood of doing
certification and at that time they are on a lookout for
certification material and dumps and also if this is available in a
click or two, then they are the happiest people.

There is a Forum especially for the people from the IT Industry
prepared considering all the above mentioned points and it is

www.itjobguru.com/forum/index.php

And also the main features of the site are
