I hate to come begging for solutions, but I'm against a wall here. So
I've just recently started really delving into Java applets (covered
them briefly way back in intro Comp Sci, but other than that,
nothing). I'm currently trying to make an applet that will display
sound clips graphically as blocks on a timeline, and use the Java
Media Framework to process them. If anyone is familiar with the
program, I'm looking for an interface that looks something like
Acoustica MP3 Audio Mixer (screenshots can be found at
http://acoustica.com/mp3-audio-mixer/screenshots.htm) (it may also be
something like GarageBand, but I haven't used that program).
Basically, there are rows of these sound clips along a timeline. Clips
may overlap on different rows, and may be dragged around left and
right and up and...
