Disk Space
Make sure you have at least 50 MB of temporary free disk space
available. After installation Apache occupies approximately 10 MB of
disk space.
here I see apache needs 10M space....... isn't that an OCEAN of space
for forth?

I do.

Depends on what your understanding of "data mining" is. I do apply
some questions to the databases. That is mainly linguistic research
and shows some structure in the given data. Up to now I dont use
neural networks or similar things for the investigations - so you
might argue that it is no "data mining".

FORTH, Inc. does tend to specialize in embedded systems. Don't
disparage them, though -- they're far more numerous than PC's! Recent
major projects include:
* A series of power distribution controllers for GE Multilin,
http://www.geindustrial.com/multilin/products/lentronics/, including
(most recently) the JungleMUX Sonet product line. The relationship with
GE goes back quite a few years. We provide system-level and
communications/networking code, while the "domain experts" at GE write
the higher-level applications using SwiftX.
* Antenna controllers for Vertex/RSI
http://www.forth.com/resources/appNotes/app-Vertex.html. These are used
for a number of military antennas, as well as all the uplink antennas
for DirectTV (the main satellite TV system in the US).
