IIRC I had the same problem with Tera News...though I just tried the
free service...
I wound up going with Usenet-News.net -- you just pay for a block of
data transfer, which lasts until you use it up. But I badly
overestimated how much bandwith a newsgroup would take; I got a 10GB
block, and at my current rate of consumption (c.l.f. is the only
newsgroup I follow), it looks like that will last me 150 years or so.
