I'm using RB 2007-5 and I'm adding a MoviePlayer control where I'm playing a
52x52 AVI file of a small rotating object (a logo). The video plays and
loops as it should, but the playback window seems to want to switch to a wide
screen mode by stretching the x-axis. I've tried playing with the
MoviePlayer settings without any luck.

Has any one seen this behavior before? Is there a better way of playing
small, specific sized video clips? I can change the format and size of the
video, but I need it a square so the image looks right. Thanks!

Wanting to get back into robotics (or maybe other projects) and I want
to be able to incorporate real-time, live video (such as from a
wireless USB camera) into my realbasic created interface. Is this
possible? I just think it would be cleaner incorporate it into the same
robotic controller software, instead of using a separate piece of
software for the camera ...

Hi to all.I want to make a simple text editor like notepad.I am using
realbasic for about 4 months but i have a good background on visual
basic.Anyway the problem is that the text files that i save with
realbasic dont appear as they supposed to in notepad.I understand that
this is an encoding problem but i tried almost all the methods of
changing the encoding from utf-8 to windows ansi.I still get the same
result.All i want to do is to save the text file and then display it
right in notepad.I know that the default encoding notepad uses is
windows-ansi but no matter what way i choose to encode the text
nothing seems to change.Any suggestions?

I am struggling to think of a program to write and its really bugging
me anyone have any ideas for programs?

Hi,

A few weeks ago I got the book "Beginning Programming For Dummies"
from which I installed REALbasic 2006 Release 3. But I didn't get to
most of the lessons that had the REALbasic code to run, so I didn't
get to see much of how it works. I did renew once, but since I was
rather busy those weeks, I again didn't meet the deadline.

I tried going to their site and left a message, but never got a reply
(about two weeks ago). When I click on the extend period, I get a box
that has an email address, but it's truncated from the top (more than
half) so I can't use it. Can anyone provide me with this email?
(That's basically what I asked for from the REALbasic site.

All I want is to see how the examples provided in the book work. If I
can't renew the trial period, I was wondering if anyone could post
movie files that can show me how these examples run. Not the ones
from REALbasic TV at their site, but the ones from the For Dummies
book. Or is there a way to see this examples only (even if the
program is disabled for anything else?) In other words, is there a
way I can get a limited-to-the-books example version of the program
instead of a time-period version.

How can we count the number of controls which are control array ...

i have designed a form. In run time few text boxes will be added using
control array.

So, at some point of time i need to count the number of textboxes
which are in array. how can we achieve that.

Is there any way to set default and cancel properties in our forms?

So that if the user press enter key the the button with default
property set executes. Similarly if the user presses the escape key
the button with cancel property set executes.

Let me know the solution to this.
