Cannot connect using Apache on Vista

Author: Catherine
Date: Sep 2, 2008 07:22

(Posting this on behalf of my coworker, David Gley)
---
A little background: I have a client-server application that I
created using Delphi. The database server is a Windows 2003 operating
system running Oracle and Oracle HTTP Server (Apache 1.3.34).
eq_prod.dll is registered with Apache as a handler. The client
connects to the database and all works well with this configuration.
Development is done on Windows XP running Apache 1.3.39. I am able to
run the client software and connect to the database through either the
local Apache on the development machine or the Oracle Http Server on
the database server.

The problem comes when testing Vista Ultimate as my development
platform. I had no errors installing Apache 1.3.39 on Vista. Apache
seems to run with the same httpd.conf file that I used on Windows XP.
If I run my client software on Vista, I am able to connect to the
database through the Oracle Http Server on the database server. If I
run the client using the local Apache I get the following error:

“Access violation at address 02207FE26 in module ‘eq_prod.dll’. Read
of address 0B37F330”.

  Apache 2.0 gone crazy!

Author: Claus Tersgov

Hello

Apache 2.0.55 on W2K

I was trying to exclude my own IP adress from logging with this command
under a virtual host in the conf. fil:
SetEnvIf Remote_Addr "82.180.34.79" dontlog

But that diden't work, so I removed it again. But now apache no longer
writes the IP adress in the log, instead it writes the IP in this form:

0x52b4224f.static.bcbnet.dk
llf520106.crawl.yahoo.net

I have tried to use my old backup conf file, I have restarted the apache and
windows severeal times, but nothing helps.

What has gone wrong and how do I get the normal IP adresse back in the logs?

Claus

  no-ip.com versus dyndns.com ??

Dear Friends:

Can anyone provide an assessment between the products provided by both
these sites ??

In particular, since I move my machines twice per year from my summer
home to my winter home, I wish to have web services (thru my Apache server)
in both locations with no ISP problems.

TIA,

i need some help setting up web dav on an apache 2.0.49 windows xpsp2
machine...

what i want is for users john, jane and joe to be able to drag and
drop files to and from a web folder storing them...not executing them
on the server just using the dav folder as a repository...

my diectory is C:/www/dav and the passwords are the same as the user
names...

please be specific in your directions...i've rtfm and i can't get it
to use the usre and password file...it just allows arbitrary access to
the repository where it lists the files and executes them...

thanks in advance for your assistance....
