I have created department address book nsf for common groups and put
it on the common server (not notes server) to share. But Notes will
not let me add it to the mail address list in Preferences as it is not
on my c: drive under 'data'.

We can not add or update common groups because everything is
outsourced and costs each time a change is made.

Is there a way for several people to use this common address book
without it being put on the Notes server? Maybe an agent that copies
the groups to each persons local address book on startup or a way to
fool notes into looking at the nsf file on the server.

All I want to do is have a shares set of group email addresses than
each of the team can use or update, but without using the notes
server.

I am trying to figure out how to calculate password strength and I am
finding the published explanations are incomprehensible.
In the most detailed explanation, 'distribution' is mentioned without
explaning how to calculate it, and in another place detrimental effect of
dictionary words in a password is not clear. Does anyone have an
understandable explanation of domino password strength?

I have completed Exporting Lotus notes document to MS Word Document.
In The Lotus Notes Document I have attachments and I have attached
those attachments as embedded attachment links. But when I am trying
to open those Embedded Attachments by clicking on document link it is
giving an error. Please if any one knows about how to store/open
embedded attachments in MS word Document while Exporting Lotus
Document to MS word Document then please let me know as soon as
possible.

I guess you could say that!? But it does not hide like the "Mark
private". So if you have granted access to your calendar for people
to see your entire schedule then they will see your pencil in's and
their details.

When I create a new calendar entry, I have the option "pencil in" or
in german "vormerken".
I read the help but I have no idea how that works. The helps says
something like "keep free for the free time schedule".
So when should I use "pencil in" and what does it do then?
