Report targets China's 'mass market' for multinational business | IBM
A new study from IBM suggests that multinational companies should focus more
on China’s mass markets and less on top-tier cities. These "emerging" cities
contribute more than 40 percent of China's Gross Domestic Product, and more
than 80 percent of them have household income levels falling within the U.S.
$3,000-$6,000 mass market range. Only half of top-tier cities' populations
fall in that range.
