Did you try this with Lotus Notes and Domino?

Author: Domino.News

Dear Lotus Professional,

Are you still using document attachments for your company manuals, such
as policies and procedures, work instructions, or training materials?

Why don't you use Web capabilities of Lotus Domino to publish e-manuals
for your team or whole organization? Unlike a traditional document
library, DocPublisher automatically converts MS Word documents to Web
pages. It allows users to create and update Web content with their
familiar authoring tool - Microsoft Word.

SWING DocPublisher:

SWING DocPublisher has all the functionality you need:

* Editing content with MS Word or a browser-based editor
* Publishing and distribution
* Navigating and searching; custom properties and views
* Revision control, permissions, workflow routing, audit trail,
archiving

New DocPublisher 4 has just been released. Try it now: play with our
online demo installation, or learn more from a whitepaper: "How to Use
Lotus Domino to Publish Policies and Procedures Online".

The best you can do is: set the cursor on a message, hold the shift key,
then down arrow. The check mark on the left indicates the selected
documents. Then hit the delete key (or button). You can also use the
mouse in the check mark column - just drag it up/down. Certainly not
the fastest way to do things.

With the new Eclipse client in version 8, I wonder if they have made
improvements?

How can I (easily) select a group of emails?

Author: *alan*

Our office switched from Outlook to Lotus Notes last week and I just noticed
that a simple feature I took for granted in Outlook does not seem to be
available in LotusNotes.

I like to periodically delete old emails and depending on when I do so,
would be selecting a group of anywhere from 50 to 200 messages.

Easily done in Outlook, using standard Windows-type procedure (i.e. holding
down the shift while selecting the range).

This doesn't work in Lotus.

It appears that I've got the choice of selecting ALL of the messages (which
I certainly don't want to do) or performing a mouse-click 50 to 200 times
(which seems unconscionably tiresome).

Is there some "trick" or "workaround" to get Lotus to behave like I want it
to?
Or am I just doomed to early onset of carpal tunnel syndrome?

Thanks for any suggestions.

  Sametime chat logging

Author: dboltz
Date: Apr 8, 2008 13:17

Hello All,

My boss would like to have the ability to see who is logging on,
chatting with whom and for how long. I know that we can already see
who is logging on with stlog.nsf but the other information can't be
found there. I see that chat logging can be setup with the
"STChatLog.dll" but this only gives a text file. I would like to have
an nsf for this if possible. I did find that there is a database
available from IMTegrity. Does anyone know of any others that I
should be looking at? Free would be preffered because I don't beleive
this needs to be used for long.

Thanks,
Dave B.
