Blackberry address sync with Lotus Notes

Author: donlcarter

I have a user that is having problems with syncing his Notes address
book with his Blackberry. This person has about 1200 addresses to sync
from Lotus Notes. When looking at the address book after syncing, it
randomly misses addresses. I haven't seen a steady pattern, I have no
idea why this happens. You can sync multiple times and get a different
list of addresses everytime. Is there a limit to how many addresses
there is on the Blackberry?

Isn't that a violation of RFC?

Why not just have both your name and your address in the from field, for
example "Alex GD" ?

Access adress books from "sent to"

Author: Alex GD
Date: Jan 6, 2007 13:43

I have created some databases containing many adresses. I'd like to be able to access
such adresses from the field "send to" on the clients, when sending mail, but only can see
the adresses on the main directory of the server.
I mean, let's say I have 4 mails databases and each database has 5 contacts. I would
like to be able to deploy them and select the contacts.

  PostFix&Domino in a single domain

Author: L C
Date: Jan 4, 2007 07:15

Hi !
I have 2 frontend SMTP Postfix gateways, they follow all our company.com
mails to our domino server.

What I want to do:
On theses 2 frontend, I have a transport file that I can configure so, only
100 mail addresses wich I must specify, will be routed to domino and all the
other mail adresses will be forwarded to a linux server.

The problem is the internal mail routing. How can I setup my domino server
so that the Notes users can send messages to the linux users ?
thank you

Greg

Problem while saving attachment in Web mail

Author: Shane
Date: Jan 3, 2007 22:15

A user is trying to save a word attachments from WEBMAIL .When he
tries to do so it doesn't seem to save nor does it give any error
message, but it would just bring up the window and it would say
Saving.User has the same problem when logged onto another machine.
Also seem to have this problem with any word or excel attachment

Connected to user's machine remotely and diagnosed this issue.does not
have this problem if accessed via Citrix.Tried increasing the
Temporary internet files Size and have also tried saving in the Temp
folder in the C-drive.Also tried saving a PDF attachment and was able
to save successfully

Could someone suggest what should be done to resolve this

Thanks

Alex,

You need to change a setting on the Domino server. You need to modify
your Global domain document > Conversions tab > Address format > Name
and Address.

Restart your Server.

p.s. this will affect ALL of your users. ALso some Email clients will
still show your email address.

  How to configure sender name?

Author: Cell
Date: Dec 30, 2006 12:48

Hi!

I'm using Lotus Notes Client 6.5. I send mails by smtp protocol and receive
them by pop3 protocol. I don't use domino server. When I send mail and
someone receive it, in 'From:' there is my e-mail adress. I would like to,
there will be my name. How to configure it?
