Hi Everyone,
I snagged and installed a copy of Paint Shop Pro 8.1
on my Windows XP machine.
I am having problems getting it to load Plug-ins.
Doing the search in this group on the problem I got:
http://groups.google.com/group/comp.graphics.apps.paint-shop-pro/browse_frm/thre...#646fe0f1fff2117c
Which indicates 8.1 DOES load plugins and doesn't have a bug.
I followed the help instruction for Plugins
File -> Preferences -> File Locations -> Plug-ins
1. Enable Plugin box is checked.
2. Enable Directory box is checked
3. Scan Subfolders box is checked
I have closed and restarted Paint Shop Pro for good measure.
But then under Files -> Import it says "No Plug-ins Loaded"
Under Effects -> Plug-ins it does list all the installed plug-ins in
black,
but the sub-window after that all the options are greyed out.

If I wanted to change from Windows 98 to Windows XP, would my PSP 7.04 still
work?
Rudolf.

Yep. That is how it works. It just isn't quite what I was expecting.
Having said that, I think I can learn to appreciate the way it works
in 7.04. It's probably better than having the origin remain at one of
the corners (as PSP X implements it.)
