Error During Wine Install

I am running Edubuntu 8.04 on a Dell GX240 with a P4 processor and
256MB of RAM (if this information matters). When I go to run the
wine_1.0.0~winehq0~ubuntu~8.04-1_i386.deb package installer I get the
following status error: Dependancy is not satisfiable: binfmt-
support.

Any help on this would greatly be appreciated. Also, I'm fairly new to
Linux so the more details the better. Thanks in advance.

Have you asked the question on the Ubuntu list? This sounds like an
Ubuntu issue rather than a WINE issue.

Make sure you have the universe repositories enabled in Synaptic. Try
installing binfmt-support first, then the Wine package.
