  Punch 3D objects

Author: Guy
Date: Mar 28, 2008 11:53

Sorry to intrude.

Does anyone know a newsgroup where I can discuss Punch Home Design Software?

If this is it, here goes...

I bought Punch Home Design software, for designing house plans for myself.
It includes many 3D objects in the form of .POB files which I can add to my
design, such as tables, sofas, chairs, etc. Despite this, there are many
more objects that I would like to add to my design.

The software does come with a 3D Custom workshop where I can design my own
objects but it appears very limited. I can't imagine desiging an exercise
bike with it.

The software is also able to import 3DS files but I don't know anything
about this.

My ultimate question is this: Can I download other objects from the
Internet?

Thanks,
Guy

  Drawing in 3d in 2008

When I draw inside a 3d model (2d visual style), AutoCAD now tries to
guess which plane I'm intending to draw in.

Is there any way to switch off this 'helpful feature'.

The the question is how can I install this text fonts, so that I use can

  Invisible viewports

Author: Chas C-Q
Date: Mar 26, 2008 16:07

I am editing a drawing started by another. I use AutoCAD Mechanical 2008
on XP Pro SP2. What does "Invisible" mean here?:

VIEWPORT Layer: "MVIEW"
Space: Paper space
Layout: Layout
Invisible
Visual Style: 2D Wireframe
Handle = 16890e
Status: On and Active
Scale relative to Paper space: 0.1177xp
Annotation Scale: 1:1
center point, X=6.02345567 Y=36.20710933 Z=0.00000000
width 6.93411060
height 17.74359056

All layers, including "MVIEW", are ON, THAWED and UNLOCKED. Nevertheless,
I cannot see or manipulate the outline of this viewport.

Sorry About the html format on the other post!!

We are using AutoCAD 2008 on some of our work-stations and it is =
necessary for us to save our drawings in 2000 format. We scan our =
drawing files with sofscan to create eje files for material handling and =
sofscan will only scan R2000 drawings. The problem is that when we =
saveas 2000 the file size jumps from say 350kb to 3mb. Has anyone else =
encountered this and come up with a solution?
