Fail to Loop Through Items in a SelectionSet

Author: Jay Chan
Date: Dec 27, 2006 12:17

I am trying to use VBA to loop through all the items in a selection-set
to find their patterns. Unfortunately, I keep getting the following
error message when I use Item() method of the selection-set to try to
get acess to an item in the selection-set:
Error Number: -2147418113
Error Description: Method 'Item' of object 'IAcadSelectionSet'
failed

How should I get around with this problem? Is there an alternative?

The following is a sample program that shows the error:

Private Sub SavePcInfoToArray()
'Save the info of all the pieces into an array.

Dim objSelectSet As AcadSelectionSet
Dim anFilterTypes(3) As Integer
Dim avFilterValues(3) As Variant
Dim nCur As Integer
Dim objItem(100) As Object

m_nTotalGrpPcInfo = 0

On Error GoTo Err_SavePcInfoToArray

Set objSelectSet = ThisDrawing.SelectionSets.Add("AllPcs")

WTD Digital design for a shop/garage

Author: LQQK
Date: Dec 26, 2006 14:24

I want to design a garage/workshop about 24'x30'. It will have a slab
on grade, It will have a 10'x10' bay door. Otherwise it would be a
very basic platform build with 10ft ceiling, trusses with 3:12. I
will design the trusses for our local snow loads.

Has anybody got an autocad compatible digital design that I could use
for a starting point? Reasonable price paid.

  Slow Autocad

Author: Lost_(home)
Date: Dec 25, 2006 03:27

Hi. Why does my Acad 2005, or 2004 sometimes work very slow? Some of this
files are the size of 1 MB. Usually this happend when I explode something,
or input some object (it is not necessery block). Till this time it work
good!
I can solve this only if I open new blank file and copy/paste to a new file.
I tried to purge but it does not help!
Is it possible to find out a problem?
Sorry for my bad english.
