Description
POSITION PURPOSE
The Business Analysis unit is responsible for facilitating the proper
alignment between business processes and application systems. This
unit strives for continuous improvement of business processes and
system functionality. As an IS / business liaison, this unit is
expected to maintain a global, enterprise-wide viewpoint, supporting
the mission and vision of the organization while acting in the best
interest of both the IS department and business department(s). Members
of this unit should contribute broad experience and a high level of
expertise in business processes and system functionality. This unit
works with business stakeholders to define business requirements and
with technical staff to develop solution alternatives. In addition,
members of this unit actively participate in defining objectives to
support changing business needs and availability of IS offerings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Analyze business and user needs within assigned functional areas
and document business requirements.
2. Gather, review, categorize and document information from numerous
