"Maple Leaf recalled 220 types of meat last week in an effort expected
to cost at least $20-million, after the same strain of listeria that
has been linked to six deaths was found in its Toronto processing
plant. Investors have driven its shares down 28 per cent to $7.99
since the news broke last week on volume 10 times heavier than its
three-month average."

Tainted food in Canada is exceptional.
In China it's a way of life, where 75%% of the food manufacturing industries
operate without permit or inspection.
