In our last episode, , the
lovely and talented Bert Hyman broadcast on tx.politics:
>> It wasn't in the books, dipshit. That's why no one knew he was gay.

It wasn't an annoucement. It was a reply to a question.

Why? Why would you think authors could create compeling fictional
characters without more insight into character than ever appears in print?

And since, apparently, there was never the slightest clue regarding
the character's sexual orentation in any of the books, I suspect
Rowling may have made that claim merely to piss off the whiners.

If Christians were capable of that, they wouldn't be Christians.

Francona has barely dipped into his bull pen, and has
all of his relievers (and some of his starters) for
backup.
Whether the Sox do it with three pitchers or five, the
fact remains that they're going to do it.

There's an excellent chance that it'll come down to a duel
between bull pens
-- the entire bull pen -- rather than
starting pitchers. If that does turn out to be the case, I
can't see the Sox losing.

Exactly. So is the character really gay, or is Rowling just having a
go at the Bible-banging idiots (like IBen) who've bitched about her
books for years?

I doubt IBen has ever read much of anything other than WingNut Daily
and the National Enquirer. The Potter books would likely be over his
head.

Not peculiar at all. If you're a popular writer who is tired of religious
fundies telling you what you can and can't publish, you give 'em a poke in
the eye just to remind them of their place. Rowling simply seized the
opportunity to remind all the J Youngs of the world that she will not be
subject to religious censorship.

If Westbrook has a bad night, probably. If not.....

The only one in the Harry Potter series I've seen is the most recent one - not
all that great of a plot, but then I was that age back when the Apollo series
was preparing for the first trip to the moon.
