  China and Greenhouse Gas Emissions

Author:
Date: May 28, 2008 22:12

The following headilines are both correct. Which would you choose to
use in the context of Kyoto discussions ,to be fair ?

**************************************************
China emissions to exceed US by 2010?

Chinese per capita emissions to reach 1/4 of US levels in 2010?
*****************************************************

Should we think of emissions in per country or per person terms?

Chinese greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions will soon overtake US,
emissions on a per country basis.

However, on a per capita basis China is well behind the US.

China's total historical GHG emissions represent 7.8%% of world
emissions . While the US's total historical GHG emissions represent
27,8%% of world emissions.

Historical GHG's are measured between 1750 and 2005

California Lawmakers Urging Tougher Legislation around Plastic Surgery

News from Health Lover, Ilena Rosenthal:
http://breastimplantawareness.blogspot.com
www.ilena-rosenthal.blogspot.com
We believe this is a step in the right direction. Unfortunately,
however, over the 13 years of working closely with thousands of women
harmed by their breast implants or other plastic / cosmetic surgeries,
I have learned that serious and profound illnesses & injuries also
occur when board certified surgeons are hired.

One thing I continue to hear from new implantees already experiencing
problems ... is that they were told to sign 'informed consent' forms
... but typically an employee from the office would be present and
making claims like "but we've never seen any problems." Women need to
know that the dangers are real and underreported by the news media.

TUESDAY May 27, 2008 (foodconsumer.org) -- Lawmakers in California are
urging new legislation to enhance the safety of plastic surgery
procedures six months after the mother of Kanye West died after
liposuction and breast implant surgery, Los Angeles Time reported on
May 26.

That's the kind of brainless behaviour you always end up with, whenever you
have people who think legislation trumps fundamental rights and makes them
above the law. Its no longer about the value of a life, but the permission
of the statute, and some become more equal than others.

A cop in Victoria who arrest two people who simply bought a taser on eBay
said there was "no legal reason to have such a weapon"... which is a rather
curious statement from someone in "law enforcement" who wears one, don't ya
think?

As long as we hold fast to this artificial dependence we have on cops, they
will increasingly assume the roll of a thug with "sovereign immunity". Just
wait till the military start doing "police work", and use "national
security" as a blank cheque for their behavour.
