Ok, here's a quick update on me, too, since I haven't been real active here
for a while...
As you all know, I moved up to Alaska 2 years ago. Job is going well, miss
the kids and pets like hell but doing ok.
My sister and her husband, who lived up here in the past, moved back last
August because one of their twin sons, both who live up here also, was
diagnosed with lung cancer. Unfortunately, Chris died in February (37 years
old) so we have all been recovering from that. It really struck me hard
and brought back a lot of stuff from when my husband died.
And that is about it - I haven't even tried to get into the dating game up
here - there are a lot of single men, but the saying is: The odds are good,
but the goods can be odd!! :-) I'm getting to know my sister again, since
we haven't lived close together for many, many years. I had been doing a
lot of photography until the gas prices went so high, so this summer I have
not been out and about nearly as much with my camera.
And that's about it...just kind of living a quiet life right now...

I'm so sorry to hear about your nephew. That is so young. Hang in there.
Support your sister and her husband and they will support you.
If it's right it will happen. You've spent a lifetime taking care of your
family. Enjoy taking care of you. :)
So good to see you back. :)

I know what you mean about if it is right it will happen - it doesn't work
to force relationships...I will admit that I am enjoying just having myself
to look after up here - no kids, no pets, no husband...lol

I'll try to be around more...I seem to go through cycles, and the past
couple of years up here have been different...

Though I have been blessed with someone wonderful, I enjoyed being alone
after years of marriage and children. It's different, but you get to be
you!!!

Oh my goodness, it's my cyber sister. I'm happy to hear from you.
That is awful about your nephew. It sounds like his battle was
shorter then some so I'm happy he doesn't suffer anymore. I just
can't imagine what the family is going through though and I can only
imagine...

I guess I'm not quite getting to be just me because I still have the
kids and the pets and such that require so much attention and care. I
just get overwhelmed because I have no one to share the workload
with...BUT...I do take appreciation that I do have them and that I do
take care of them on my own. Just know one day you will get positive
feed back from me and other days it might be a little negative!
Just know that if I show up at one of ya'lls door step...it's
because I ran away from reality for a moment! LOLOL
