  Re: RoboHELP alternatives

Replacement for Robohelp: http://www.doctohelp.com/

I sat through a demonstration at a local STC meeting (IESTC.org).
The story goes that Macromedia bought RoboHelp, and then let it die
on the vine. The people that developed Robohelp originally then
started Doc-To-Help.

  changing background for Captivate menu

Author: Hannah Gilberg
Date: Jan 2, 2007 18:02

When you create a menu using Captivate Menu Builder, is it possible to
modify the background color? Currently, the text that announces the menu
just blends in with the current background, so it's hard to see.

Any info would be great.

Do you have standards against which you can review
your processes? Or are you reviewing your standards as well?

We're a fairly smallish company (definitely a small department) and we are in the process of putting a set of standards and processes into place. I guess the means for my questions were to get an idea of what people concentrate on while reviewing, who is utilized, and how.

Thanks,
Annie

  Medical Listservs similar to techwr-l

Author: Cazanas, Penny

Does anyone know of a specific listserv for medical writers that they
would recommend?
I have a highly qualified cousin in San Jose who has been doing medical
transcription and editing from her home for many years and would like
more work.

I was going to introduce her to techwr-l and copyeditor-l, but would
like to find a more specific listserv for her needs. (I have checked the
archives.)

Thanks very much for your time and consideration.
