"inclined-plane" diagram is a "back-

'draft' of the "diagram".

The "odd negative-power function"
that's been in AoK, Ap4, all along,

is also a Complete-Reification of
the stuff I reiterated with respect
to the "inclined-plane" diagram,
and other functions can be used
to embody the same-stuff -- the
"Leminiscate of Bournolli" [a 'side-
ways' "figure-eight" -- like the "In-
finity" symbol] is particularly-use-
ful, in this regard, because higher-
'level' stuff is mapped-in-it -- in
particular, certain dynamics of the
"volitional diminishing-returns de-
cision" threshold's 'set-point' with
respect to experience correlated
"meta-active" and "meta-passive
phase-shifts" [AoK, Ap7.]
As is explained in AoK, Ap4, extend-
ing such simple functions to the spec-
ial topological homeomorphism re-
quires everything else that's discuss-
ed in AoK [in particular, Ap3, 4, 5,
6, 7, and 9], and the Refs cited in
AoK, which I'll discuss-further below.

The article is the "Skeptic" Column,
"Adam's Maxim and Spinoza's Con-
jecture", by Michael Shermer, p. 36.

=All= of the "interpretations" of
brain function that're discussed
in the Column are Verifiably-False.
'within' nervous systems, there're
exactly-Zero functional-modalities
-- such as "belief", "disbelief", "un-
certainty", "disgust", "ethics", etc.
-- functionally-'assigned-to-partic-
ular-areas'.
Which is =Easy= [if most-often
Sorrow-Filled, and, some-'times',
Frightening] to Ascertain-and-
Verify by Observing Behavior in
relatively-Deprived environmental
conditions, such as Ghettos and
any other relatively-isolated exper-
iential-environments.
It's Easy to Observe that, in =ALL=
such environments, Behavioral-dyn-
amics tend, Strongly, to 'move to-
ward' the 'forces' that're exerted
'within' such environments, which
can, and most-often are, function-
ally-"inverted" [AoK, Ap4] with re-
spect to non-Deprived, relatively-
non-isolated environments.
Which is an Easy way of Observe
the =Generalized= Nature of the
"intelligence" that's innate 'within'
all 'normal' human nervous sys-
tems.
=ALL= of the functional-modalities
that exist 'within' 'normal' human
nervous systems occur with re-
spect to a =single= functional con-
sideration -- enabling 'movement
toward' increased-energy-density
and 'movement away from' de-
creased-energy-density -- or 'mov-
ing toward' Truth, and 'moving
away from' Truth, respectively.
For instance, "vision" has evolved
'within' nervous systems be-cause,
being able to "see" "objects" in the
environments in which nervous-sys-
tems' host-organisms 'move', en-
ables nervous-systems' host-org-
anism to 'move' without having to
'feel' their ways with respect to
what would, otherwise, be as 'ob-
stacles' in 'movements' paths,
which =just= renders 'moving'
relatively-more-efficient and func-
tionally-rapid -- which maps "vi-
sion" Directly, and Directionally,
into 'movement'.
=EVERYTHING= 'within' nerv-
ous systems is both structurally-
and functionally-ordered in this
=ONE= way.
There're exactly-Zero functional-
modalities -- such as "belief",
"disbelief", "uncertainty", "disgust",
"ethics", etc. -- functionally-'assign-
ed-to-particular-areas' 'within'
nervous systems.
Such would be =Completely= Non-
Functional, be-in-that-'case'-cause,
such would 'predetermine-how-
and-why'' a nervous system 'could-
direct' it's host-organism's 'moving'
-- which 'would' render the host-
organism =Absolutely= Vulnerable
to =any= environmental conditions
that 'were-not' so 'predetermined'.
What exists 'within' nervous sys-
tems, instead, is that =all= struc-
tural- and functional-modalities
and capacities are Mapped with
respect to all Survivable 3D-en-
vironmental conditions can Pos-
sibly-'have-to'-function.
The Difference is, when first-en-
countered, 'Difficult'-to-compre-
hend, but it's been in AoK all
along, and I've reiterated it at
least 10,000 'times' in the dis-
cussions I've posted here in b.n.
[So please forgive me for be-
ing 'angry' that I've 'got to' go-
on reiterating-it again [and
again] -- 'angry', as in the Rich-
ard Grere-character's saying,
in the Movie, =Pretty Woman=,
~"It cost me ten-thousand dol-
lars to say that, 'I'm angry'."
It's coset me Millions of 'dol-
lars' to say that I'm 'angry' :-]
But, "alas", perhaps I just didn't
say-it well-enough.
So I'll say-it-again.
Nervous systems are structural-
ly-ordered, throughout their en-
tire extents, to do only one thing
-- minimize the Topologically-
Distributed ratios of Excitation
to Inhibition that occur 'within'
them -- to minimize "TD E/I".
So =everything= that comprises
"vision", for instance, 'within'
any 'normal' nervous system, is
structurally-, and, therefore,
functionally-, ordered to do =only=
that =one= thing -- so as to min-
imize TD E/I.
Work to understand the "Topolog-
ically-Distributed"-ness inherent.
If "vision" is to be "Topologically-
Distributed" 'within' a nervous sys-
tem, what does that Necessarily-
mean?
It means [Necessarily] that "vi-
sion" =must= be mapped 'within'
nervous systems in a way that
enables =everything= else that
exists 'within' a nervous system
to 'simultaneously' minimize TD
E/I.
=Everything= 'within' nervous
systems is structurally- and func-
tionally-ordered in this =one=
way -- everything structurally-
and functionally-ordered as is
Necessary to structurally- and
functionally-enable =everything=
else that exists 'within' 'the' nerv-
ous system to minimize TD E/I.
There is =only-one= General-
ized-Mapping through which,
and in which, such can occur
-- the "special topological ho-
meomorphism of central nerv-
ous systems", as it has been
discussed in AoK all along.
All of the 'areas' that were dis-
cussed in the =SA= Column --
"ventral prefrontal cortex", "the
cingulum", "the left inferior front-
al gyrus", "the anterior insula",
"the dorsal anterior cingulate",
"the anterior cingulate cortex",
"the brain", along with =every-
thing= in 'normal' nervous sys-
tems that's not explicitly mention-
ed in the Column, are =all=
structurally- and functionally-
ordered in the =one= way, for
the =single= Purpose of min-
imizing TD E/I.
When something is 'disgusting',
'tasteful', 'distasteful', affective-
ly-'pleasant' or 'unpleasant', etc.-
=everything=, it is be-cause any,
and all, structure and function is
rigorously-mapped with respect
to minimizing TD E/I, not =any-
thing= that's, 'supposedly', 'pre-
determined', structurally or func-
tionally, =other-than= minimiz-
ing TD E/I.
For instance, with respect to 'the'
'sense' of "taste", it's =Obvious=
that, if "taste" is to occur, there
=must= be a mapping of sensory-
apparatus into nervous systems,
but, since nervous systems are
structurally- and functionally-ord-
ered throughout their entire ex-
tents to do only one thing -- min-
imize TD E/I, any mapping of
"taste" 'within' nervous systems
=can-only-be= mapped in 'a' way
that 'simultaneously' enables ev-
erything else 'within' 'the' nervous
system to minimize TD E/I.
'the sense' of "taste" evolved in
nervous-system function in a way
that's Exactly-analogous to the way
that "vision" involved in nervous
system function -- =NOT= as
some sort of discrete 'gustatory-
intelligence', but to enable a nerv-
ous system to do the one 'thing'
with respect to environmental
conditions that are ascertainable
via ionic-conductances that are
'detected' on, for instance, 'the'
"tongue". The =only= 'thing' that
such 'detection' does 'within' a
nervous system is to map neural-
activation 'within' 'the' nervous
system in a way that 'simultan-
eously' enables everything else
'within' 'the' nervous system to
minimize TD E/I.
It's the =same= with respect to
=everything= 'within' nervous
systems.
Be-cause ['normal'] nervous sys-
tems are structurally- and function-
ally-ordered, throughout their en-
tire extents, to do =only one=
thing -- minimize the Topologic-
ally-Distributed ratios of Excita-
tion to Inhibition that occur 'with-
in' them -- to minimize TD E/I.
Why?
BE-CAUSE, that is the =ONLY=
way in which each 'area' of 'the
brain' [of 'the' nervous system],

can Possibly enable every other
'area' of 'the brain' to 'simultan-
eously' minimize TD E/I, which
is the =ONLY= way in which a
nervous system, as a whole, can
Possibly Direct the 'moving' of its
host-organism so that it will, in
fact, 'move toward' the increased-
energy-density, upon which 'move-
ment' the host-organism's Sur-
vival Depends, and in which its
Survival Derives.
So, rather than 'seeing' Illusions
of 'discrete-functionalities', such
as those that are Erroneously
'discussed' in the =SA= Column,
See, instead, how and why =ev-
erything= 'within' nervous systems
is structurally- and functionally-
mapped to enable the =one=
thing -- 'moving toward' in-
creased-energy-density and,
which is the same, 'moving
away from' decreased-energy-
density.
"TD E/I-minimization" is literal-
ly the embodiment of this one
thing.
So, in order to understand the
structure and function of nerv-
ous systems, do the work that's
necessary to See how and why
everything 'within' nervous sys-
tems is mapped-into, and with
respect to enabling, that =one=
thing.

ly-'discrete-areas' of 'the brain', if
one 'stops there', one is Complete-
ly-'blinded' to =everything= that
actually Exists 'within' nervous sys-
tems.
Be-cause "vision", "audition", "so-
matosensation", "taste" have been
only =Artificially=, and Erroneously,
'distinguished in' what actually oc-
curs 'within' nervous systems, which
is to enable 'movement' of nervous
systems' host-organisms with respect
to =one= thing -- relative-energy-
density in the environments in which
nervous-systems' host-organisms
'temporarily'-Exist.
The Number of 'senses' that can
have Existence 'within' any 'norm-
al' nervous system is =Infinite=
[AoK, AP1.]
This Infinity is instantiated 'within'
nervous systems as a rigorously-
coupled result of the TD E/I-min-
imization =experience= of a nerv-
ous system -- as a result of the
neural-activation that occurs 'with-
in' a nervous system as 'the' nerv-
ous system achieves TD E/I-min-
imization, to the degree that 'the'
nervous system does, in fact, a-
chieve TD E/I-minimization with

stituting a 'sense'.

out= a nervous system.

Which literally Maps the Infinite
Directions that exist in physical
reality with respect to the =ONE=
thing -- 'movement' with respect
to relative-energy-density.
The so-called "there are five sens-
es" stuff is just Ancient, Erroneous,
'presumption' that's been 'perpetu-
ated intergenerationally be-sole-
cause the TD E/I-minimizations
that occurred with respect to the
actual neural-activations that oc-
curred 'within' Ancient nervous
systems instantiated "biological
mass" [AoK, Ap5] 'within' those
Ancient nervous systems, which
biological mass, thereafter, ex-
erted physically-real "behavior-
al inertia" 'within' the 'move-
ments' -- including "waggings-
of-tongues -- of the Ancient
folks' behavioral manifestations,
which were =experienced= by
other Ancient folks, in whose
nervous systems the Same-
Stuff happened in the 'same'
way, 'interminably', to the 'pres-
ent-day'.
BE-CAUSE, folks 'moved' ab-
sent-understanding with respect
to how and why =all= nervous
systems do =ONE=, and only-
one, thing -- minimize TD E/I.
In such absence-of-understand-
ing, almost everything that's been
routinely said and done thus far
in human History, and which con-
tinues to be said and done, has
been Erroneous.
With, as far as I've been able
to See [which is pretty-far, but
not beyond-WDB2T] the Sole
Exception of Jesus.
Who grasped Humanity by 'the'
nervous system, and Pulled-It-
Up, Mightily, out of the 'dark-
ness' in which it had, formerly-
