Nitpic is an X-based simulator for the Microchip PIC family of
microcontrollers. It currently supports only the PIC16C84.

software. The PICSTART is a low-cost hardware PIC programmer for

It is faster than MPLAB, it has a comprehensive command line interface,
and full source is provided under the GPL.
