Shux, I drive less than 3,000 miles a year. Only other gas I use is
to mow 3 acres every 10 days during mowing season. Also, the dividend
checks from Exxon-Mobil every quarter take some of the sting out of
gas prices.

I wish that gas prices had been this high much earlier.

35 years ago, my big city was still livable but I could see that it
was progressively deteriorating into an urban shithole of crime,
drugs, disease, teen pregos ... attributable to the metastasis of
Black Plague ... so I escaped to a rural paradise. If the gas prices
had been higher, others would not have followed me; they would have
stayed in the city or 'burbs. But the assholes have brought the
"conveniences" of the city out here with them, along with the problems
from which they were trying to escape.

Yessir, high gas prices have been too little ... too late, as far as
I'm concerned.
