Baltimore, MD (Sports Network) - Rookie Michael Todd scored two goals to
lead the Baltimore Blast to an 8-2 victory over the defending champion
Philadelphia KiXX on Friday in the Major Indoor Soccer League season
opener.
Philadelphia, which won its second MISL title last year, scored the
first goal of the match but Todd tied the game at 2 and added another
goal in the fourth quarter.
Baltimore (1-0) returns to action on Oct. 27 when it hosts the Milwaukee
Wave. Philadelphia (0-1) is off until it visits the Detroit Ignition on
Nov. 3 in a rematch of last year's championship game.
