Whatever the source, and you may very well be right about that, the
New
YORK Magazine is not especially liberal or conservative. You may be
thinking
of New YORKER magazine, which New York Mag was originally created to
compete with.

Gabriel Sherman writes for, among other things, New York Magazine and
the
New Republic. He's written for Wired, the NY Times, and many other
things. He
is hardly a "hit article" writer, that's simply rude. You may disagree
with his points,
but he's an extremely respected journalist.
