The news of the gold medal record smashing Michael Phelps diet was a
salutary reminder in these days of first world plenty. Michael Phelps'
12000-calorie-per-day effort represents a sufficient number of
calories to keep roughly 20 people in modest good health.

Here's what he eats each day:

|||
(No, he doesn’t choose among these options. He eats them all,
according to the Post.)

Breakfast: Three fried-egg sandwiches loaded with cheese, lettuce,
tomatoes, fried onions and mayonnaise. Two cups of coffee. One five-
egg omelet. One bowl of grits. Three slices of French toast topped
with powdered sugar. Three chocolate-chip pancakes.

Lunch: One pound of enriched pasta. Two large ham and cheese
sandwiches with mayo on white bread. Energy drinks packing 1,000
calories.

Dinner: One pound of pasta. An entire pizza. More energy drinks.

"The International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the
Chinese organisers have agreed to lift all internet
restrictions for the Beijing Games, IOC vice-president
Gunilla Lindberg says."

"The issue has been solved," Ms Lindberg said.

"The IOC Coordination Commission and the Beijing Olympics

THE ROOTS OF HUMANITY:

In the space of just a few thousand generations,

Much less well understood is how the human race

Tony is quite correct in what he writes above.
Can anyone guess why I couldn't advocate such a vote ?
