Hey everyone.
Im looking at setting up a repeater in Napier, New Zealand and am
having problems trying to find out where to get a duplexer.
The local radio guys say I can use 2 omni antennas with a 5 metre
vertical space between them however that wont work for me. The
repeater will be going into a public park (300m above sea level) and
cant be sticking out above the surrounding trees - except the antenna
itself. I am trying to hide it from public view so it will be going
into a fenced off area surrounded by some short trees - 3m high at the
most. The patch of trees are on a slope of a hill so the antenna will
still have direct line of sight to the users down below. I dont want
to attract vandals to it.
So for this reason, 2 antennas, with a 5m+ high pole is not an
option.
Does anyone know where I can get a duplexer that does 477mhz with a
500/750khz split. I have searched the local
www.trademe.co.nz and they
never come up, and ebay listed units only seem to have 5mhz splits as
per the international standards.
