Author: ex_liberal_voter

http://petermartin.blogspot.com/2007/10/spin-doctor-unionists-are-everywhere.htm...

BRENDAN NELSON is a former head of the doctor’s union, the Australian
Medical Association.

... ANDREW ROBB used to head the Cattle Council and later the National
Farmers' Federation. Both collected dues and lobbied on behalf of
their members as do unions.

... TONY ABBOTT was an active member of journalists union, where he
once adjitated for a strike.

MALCOLM TURNBULL worked at Sydney’s fruit markts while at university
and one day stormed into the office of the Trades and Labour Council
demanding that it find a union to represent him...

[...] Other Coalition MPs were student union officials, among them JOE
HOCKEY ... who was President of the Sydney University Students
Representative Council (as had been TONY ABBOTT ), GARY HUMPHRIES who
ran the ANU Students Association and PETER COSTELLO, who was General
Secretary of the Monash Association of Students.

[...] JULIE BISHOP, among heaven knows how many other Coalition
Ministers, was a school prefect – elected to represent the interests
of her fellow students to those in authority.

  Yes, about those boat people

Who is going to prosper from those who survive the journey in a leaky
boat)?

LAWYERS, SMUGGLERS & THOSE WHO FEED, DOCTOR AND PROCESS THEIR CLAIMS .

Who'll pay for these services?

Australian tax payers.

Who'll lose out?

Most of these who float in. After paying out their savings to
smugglers, few will be allowed to remain.

Oh thank you, thank you, Kevin Rudd!

"Kevin Rudd may take former Guantanamo Bay inmates

By Sid Maher

The Australian

December 27, 2008 07:26am

Relocation ... Australia is considering a request from the US to accept
detainees from Guantanamo Bay, Cuba / AFP

* Rudd may accept former terror inmates
* Each person would be subject to legal criteria
* Greens warn Rudd of a political backlash

KEVIN Rudd has left open the possibility of Australia taking former inmates
from the prison camp at Guantanamo Bay.

But he warned that any US request for an inmate to come would be subject to
legal criteria and assessed on a case-by-case basis, The Australian reports.

As the Greens warned the Prime Minister he faced a political backlash if he
accepted detainees held in the US military jail at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba,
a spokesman for Mr Rudd confirmed US authorities had approached Australia
and other countries about resettling the detainees."

Lawsuit accuses California town of harassing homeless

Author: chriseric777

CALIFORNIA — Civil-rights attorneys filed a federal lawsuit Tuesday
against Laguna Beach and accused the leadership of the exclusive
coastal town of engaging in a campaign of harassment against the
homeless. The American Civil Liberties Union alleged in its lawsuit
that a city ban on sleeping on the street is unconstitutional,
particularly because there are no year-round city-sponsored shelters.
The lawsuit seeks a change in policy but no money for the homeless...

Recessions come and go ... but WorkChoices if forever (if the Liberal Party has its way)

Howard anticipated what would happen in victory or defeat. "If the
Government is returned … the reforms that have been made over the last
few years will never be dismantled — because by the time of the next
and subsequent elections, they will have become so much part of the
economic and industrial fabric of this country, that will be quite
impossible," he said in August.

The Age, 22 February 2008

As you can see, the Liberals were setting in place SerfChoices not
just to disadvantage employees here and now, but to enslave future
generations of Australians in miserable Third World sweatshop
conditions. Your kids and grandkids.

We dodged a bullet by voting out those mongrels. But they are waiting
on the sidelines, wanting to trick you into voting them back in, so
they can once again set the SerfChoices for your offspring.

For a fair go for yourself and those who will come after you, never
vote for the Liberal Party.
