"Peter Costello lacks the courage to challenge
Brendan Nelson for the Liberal Leadership, a
former Liberal leader says.
John Hewson says recent media coverage over
Mr Costello's possible tilt at the leadership
is pointless, because he lacks "the balls"
to challenge.
Dr Hewson told Sky News it was a pointless argument.
"When I look back at Peter's career he's never had the balls to
challenge, or make a move, or actually move to get the job, in
circumstances where he could have got it," he said.
