I see your family in the NT beat Uncle Sam's campaign to turn
Camden into Islamden! B^D

I was waiting for the Islamic Reformation... B^D
then I discovered it had already occurred, in the 1850's
when a young Persian Poet called Tahireh stood
up in the midst of a crowd, tore off her veil
and declared "You may kill me if your wish,
but you cannot stop the emancipation of women!"

Masha'allah!

Half a century before the sufragettes in the West!

From that point, I worked backward, to find out what
she was reforming and elaborating... I read the Koran
and knew that without changing a single thing I knew
and believed about Jesus, I had found another room
in my Fathers mansion.

A Brother, indeed, with all Muslims, Jews and Christians,
Hindus, Buddhists, Bahais, Sikhs, Zoroastrians and Lakota Sioux
although I am not 'signed up' with any one of them,
"We believe in that which hath been revealed unto us
and revealed unto you; our God and your God is One,
and unto Him we surrender." Bismillah.

"Some Hindus bought an elephant,
which they exhibited in a dark shed.
As seeing it was impossible,
everyone felt it with the palm of his hand.
The hand of one fell on its trunk:
he said "This animal is like a water pipe".
Another touched its ear:
to him the creature seemed like a fan.
Another handled its leg and described the elephant
as having the shape of a pillar.
Another stroked its back. "Truly", said he,
"this elephant resembles a throne".
Had each of them held a lighted candle
there would have been no contradiction in their words.

The lamps are different but the Light is the same:
it comes from Beyond.
If thou keep looking at the lamp, thou art lost:
for there arises the appearance of number and plurality.
Fix thy gaze upon the Light,
and thou art delivered from the dualism inherent in the finite body.
O thou who art the Kernel of Existence,
the disagreement between Moslem, Zoroastrian and Jew
depends upon the standpoint.

- Jalal'u'Din Rumi

In THAT sense, i am a Christian, because Christ is the Lord,
I am a Jew because "Hear oh Israel, the Lord thy God, the Lord is One"
and I am a Muslim, because I surrender. and am a servant, Inch'Allah.

But before proceeding, I have to ask, what is the difference
between Nabi (plural anbiyaa ) and Rasul (plural Rusul )?

Take your time.

Kanga has to consult his Imam before he can answer
questions about the Koran.
> I though a person with your IQ would have signed up long ago

Surely you don't take a man who jokes that he will join
the Caliphate for the sake of a beautiful woman on TV! B^D

When you are sitting with Christians and Jews, and they with you,
I will join you all.

Till then I am a fasgnadh.

"See through thine own eyes, not through the eyes of others."

The Caliphate is gone, my friend, it is not coming back.

See the whole elephant, ...and build the Kingdom instead!

It was twenty years ago when I signed up,
I had been a seeker, but remained a skeptic for
decades before that, nothing rang true. I had come across
a small book of prayers, in most unlikely circumstances,
which I was reading one evening.

I was thinking about the unfulfilled promise: "Seek and ye shall find,
knock and the door shall open" ...when suddenly it did.

There is a strange frenzy in my head,
of birds flying
each particle circulating on its own
is the one i love ...everywhere
- Rumi

That night I was dreaming, and in my dream, every word
in that book of prayer was a jewel and I was ecstatic
as it unfolded before me..

In my dream I was asking my soul
"How do i tell my family and friends that I believe in God"
when a booming voice "DO YOU?" shook me awake and i sat
trembling with fear and doubt ..until a tiny word formed.. yes.

I have tried to become that yes ever since.

Shalom and Salaam

The clear bead at the centre changes everything.
There are no edges to my loving now.
I've heard it said there's a window that opens
from one mind to another,
but if there's no wall, there's no need
for fitting the window, or the latch.
