Naturally when parents are worried about the commercial
channel's complete betrayal and exploitation of our children,
the tory government turns to more Socialism;
"A DEDICATED children's TV channel would be set up under a
re-elected Howard Government."
Since he politically stacked the ABC with his stooges, Howard
has renewed interest in Socialist media.
"Prime Minister John Howard will today announce a plan to
establish the new ABC channel to appease worried parents.
Mr Howard will give the ABC $82 million over four years for the new
digital channel, which would operate 15 hours a day.
The commercially-free channel is aimed at parents concerned about the
effect of junk food advertising on children."
So there you have it, once again Howard is forced by the majority
of Aussie parents to acknowledge the betrayal and exploitation of
our children by the unrestrained toxic greed of the market and the
need for a Socialist media to provide safe, positive and wholesome
TV for vulnerable children.
"The new channel would deliver age-appropriate material for preschool
and school-age children and teenagers aged up to 17."
Of course Howard would like to write some of the programs;

the rights to Sesame Street."
The commercial channels are renowned for their commercial greed,
flogging junk food to kids on behalf of even greedier bastards
than themselves till one in three kids are overweight.
As in every other policy area, Howard is reacting in panic to
his government's decade long neglect and disinterest, in which,
like with Hospitals and Education, his preference for giving
tax cuts to the wealthy elites has starved essential services
of funds to survive;
"Its two digital channels aimed at children, ABC Kids and Fly,
failed in 2003 because of funding problems.
It has been lobbying ever since for funding for a new children's channel."
After the election Howard will return to his trend line
indifference regarding Australian kids and return to blaming
the parents for letting their children watch the commercial
sludge which results from his and Coonan's media 'vision'.
"The decision to target children's TV programs comes amid widespread
concern about the quality of broadcasting in Australia."
Under Howard the cultural cringe has returned, Australian film,
drama, and all cultural expression except Sport, have suffered,
replaced on commercial channels by cheap and tacky reality TV,
mindless quiz shows, and American PAP, all funded by the mind-
numbing propaganda of commercial interests in a frightful
demonstration of unregulated market greed driving down to the
lowest common denominator. George Orwell's Vid Screen in which
Big Brother in Canberra uses millions of taxpayer dollars to
bludgeon voters into believing the unbelievable through
political brainwashing.

protected from violent images."
Especially the children of Iraq, where he has been responsible
for producing hundreds of thousands of brutal images.

the Australian people

Malcolm Fraser's government, Howard was promoted to

When Howard left the treasury in March 1983, the
budget deficit was forecast at $9.6 billion, inflation

And, despite the 1982-83 recession being the worst
since the Great Depression, Howard still managed to

GDP in 1977 to 27.5 per cent of GDP by 1982-83.
Howard then spent 13 years in opposition, during
which - when he wasn't leader himself - he spent
a lot of time conspiring against the three leaders
he served under: Andrew Peacock, John Hewson and
Alexander Downer."
