ABC Radio has *really* lost the plot

Just got ABC Radio playing in the background at midnight (Qld time).

They're *still* advertising programmes that finished a couple of hours
ago -- notably this evening's NRL footy game Cowboys V Eels (which the
Cowboys won easily, in case you haven't heard :).

Frankly, I think it's time they sold off the whole bloody network. As
the source of unbiased information it was 50 years ago, it's finished.
Now all that's left is never-ending trivial pursuit games, the blind
leading the ignorant talkback sessions, and incompetent programming.

Truly a sad end to a formerly great Aussie institution.

Guess I'll have to buy a new wireless. After 50 years tuned to the
local ABC station I don't expect the tuning vanes will still work.

Cheers, Phred.

repost of reply on aus.ng re Global Warming
***************************************************

Thank you Sir,

Your repost is correct all the more since what's called "Arctic
Moulins" are by the thousand detected as well in Antarctica this very
year !
The balance of water loss in Antarctica by the way is equivalent to
the one lost in Arctic & Greenland ( where "Moulins" were first
detected indeed ) , although it appears less drastic due to the
surface covered by the South Pole Continent.

The trend is increasing further in Antarctica, as well as in Arctic,
as the presence of volcanic activity is confirmed inland, as it has
been recently by a British survey ship in underwater location, with
new Volcano ( not named as yet ) culminating at some 250 m under the
surface. I am closely monitoring the evolution & on a sideline I have
read some reports of Australian Geologists Alpinists founding melt
water running on the N face of a 2000 m mountains they were
escalading, and I believe impairing their progression .
