Has anyone else noticed the Suzuki car ads in the newspaper claiming
driveaway prices and then you read the fine print at the bottom and it says
"plus $2200 dealer delivery"
I don't know where they went to school but that is not a drive away price
and either the ACCC is asleep at the wheel or no one has told them.
I plan to remedy that one on Monday.
How do the car makers continually get away with anything and if I was to
advertise a price that was in anyway not true they would be on me like a ton
of bricks.

Gday All,

Due to my 'old' server vaporising (by the looks of it) I can't find the
old posts I'm looking for. Anyway, there was some discussion about what
are good and not so good brands of LPG systems out there.

I do recall that two were considered better than the rest - which were
these again?

If it makes a difference, I wanna put a 75 series Cruiser ute on gas, so
any systems particularly well set up for these is what I'm really
interested in.

Thanks.
It costs the Arabs $1.50 to fill a barrel, which then costs $128 delivered

Hi,

Can anyone help? Having nightmares with my 1966 Mustang brakes. I
bought a ford XF(?) disc brake conversion package (Falcon stubs,
Gerlock Calipers etc) which was supposedly a straight switch out.....
Not. Firstly, the camber pins recommended can't be fitted as the
chassis rails on the 66s dont have the necessary space and boxing to
fit and work. The lower control arm bolt holes need to be slotted for
adjustment and then welded after. Secondly, after much dikking around
we've managed to work out the original drag link is now too short and
needs to be reworked to get the geometry right again. Apparently it can
be cut and welded or sleeved and pinned (the better of the two options
I'm told). Anyway, has anyone heard of this problem and does anyone
know of any easier solution?

Kinda wishing I'd gone for the pricier option(s). But hey! We live and
learn.

Cheers

We should skip designing faster aircraft altogether and move straight to
teleportation. We just need to make sure that the whole body is transported.
If, for example, we transported the body but left the brain behind, we'd end
up with.... well - You.

You know, this is what really worries me the most.

Not only are you ignorant of rules regarding bicycles (which is to be
expected, I suppose, if you never ride one on the road), but you also
appear to be ignorant of the rules applying to you when driving on the
road.

You are allowed to drive in bicycle (or bus) lanes for up to 50m
before turning.

I was stuck in traffic on Fitzroy Rd today, getting fucking nowhere,
so pulled into a carwash.

After I ran the beast through it, the guy who buffs the cars dry was
just coming back from across the street.
He was an islander guy, and I swear to god he was about 160kgs.

He came up to me and said just give me 2 mins, I'm starving and want
to get something down, then I'll do your car. He was friendly enough
and I was in no hurry so I said ok.

He sat on a small stool in the parking lot and out of a bag he
produced a huge Toblerone bar, and a 3 litre bottle of IGA full cream
milk.

He ate the Toblerone in 4 bites, then started on the milk. He took a
huge swig and I could see the milk bubbling furiously inside the
bottle. When he briefly lowered it to catch his breath I could see a
third of it was gone. He took another swig which lasted about 10
seconds, another breath and only one third was left. He took a deep
breath, raised the bottle and chugged away. Apart from a small drop of
milk that ran down his coffee coloured cheek, the milk was all gone.

That was the most wonderful thing I've ever seen.
