I do change it every 5,000
I am not using cheap oil. And it's aftermarket turbo
diesel, this stuff is important.

The frequency at which the oil is changed is *far* more important than the
brand of oil used. The fact that it *is* a turbo diesel means you could just
about lubricate it with olive oil and not have any dramas. It's not like
it's revving it's tits off or anything.

I used to work with an Alfa Romeo nut in Canberra. Apparently he
ordered the official manufacturer-recommended oil from Italy and it
was around the $150 mark for a sump full. He was really proud of it
too :-)
