16 Months/27K Miles Later, I STILL LOVE THIS CAR!
Pros: Fantastic build quality, great performance, unique - not a
cookie cutter car
Cons: MPG could be better, a bit expensive, passenger seat not
electric
Many reviews on cars seem to be made shortly after being purchased
while the buyer is still in the honeymoon phase. And sometimes reviews
appear to be written by people who don't really own one of them...

I have been running two cars on E85 for the last two years. It is
correct that there can be a small decrease in milage but in my case not
enough to worry about. Some vehicles do have a starting problem but I
have not encountered this. I had a 1992 Camry running on E85 with great
success and only bout 2-3 mpg less milage and the power and performance
was the same as petrol.
I also have a Mazda Eunos V6 on E85 with no starting problems and good
performance.( As a road car you cannot tell the diference between E10
and E85.) I have found no adverse affects to the engines and as stated
the oil looks as though it has not been used after 10000 klm.
There is a good fuel saving on this and the kits cost was not to
excessive ( Full Flex Gold ) I put the kit on the camry at 120000klm
with no problems...

I noticed on the news last week the American and Australia dollar are almost
equal.
I went to USA 6 years ago and the Ozzie dollar was 56c to the US $. I hired
an old Dodge and asked the hire man the difference between Miles and
Kilometres and he explained to get kilometers you times a mile by 1.61.
With the exchange rate these days would that be now closer to 1.1 (or there
abouts) so 50mph would be 55km/h were it would have been 88km/h last I was
there.

As a newbie here what is the protocol re posting links to you tube not
exactly oz cars material ?
Proposed links
relate to compound radial engines
and enormous ships engines .
it appears there are a few engineers on here .
and some of the links provide a look at elegant engineering and just
nice gear (imo)
Some may enjoy it as a change from bagging each other

I remember reading (albeit from the sidelines) a few spats in here last year
about FWD and power don't mix. We were inundated with calls of "can't handle
the power", "dangerous understeer" etc etc.
Well, I just watched the Minis racing around Eastern Ck and was amazed these
"pocket rocket" turbos (which by the way get to 100klm/hr quicker than any
standard Facadore - or 380) did not appear to suffer from any of the above
"problems". I even heard a commentator say that one dude continually
oversteered around corner 2.
The only modifications from the standard powertrain was slick tyres and
tighter suspension settings. Sure they are not as fast as the V8 Supercars
but I'm sure it lays to rest a lot of the hysteria that went on with the
original debate of FWD being so bloody dangerous.
One other point I would like to make is, if FWD is so dangerous, why do AWD
handle so much better that RWD? All that was done was added FWD to the RWD
and the handling improvement is out of this world. If FWD is so dangerous
(as we keep getting told in here) how do you explain that it didn't cause
the cars to understeer or run off the road but actually "fixed" a lot of the
RWD handling problems.
Remember back to the Nissan Skyline Godzilla days of the '90's when they
crapped on everything that was thrown at them. Obviously after the big cries ...
