Len Cave, driving a Mazda MPS had a big one into the chase. Very lucky
fellow me thinks.
Here's a video of the crash. I just googled "Len Cave", The guy who had
the crash, And it was a BIG one!
Sorry about the link length, Hope it works. If the link doesn't work,
Just google "Len Cave" and look for the link called "Bathurst competitor

SORRY
AUSTRALIAN APOLOGY TO THE ABORIGINAL POPULATION
We apologise for giving you doctors and free medical care, which allows you
to survive and multiply so that you can demand apologies.
We apologise for helping you to read and teaching you the English language
and thus we opened up to you the entire European civilisation, thought and
enterprise.
We feel that we must apologise for building hundreds of homes for you, which
you have vandalised and destroyed.
We apologise for giving you law and order which has helped prevent you from
slaughtering one another and using the unfortunate for food purposes.
We apologise for developing large farms and properties, which today feed you
people, where before, you had the benefits of living off the land and
starving during droughts.
We apologise for providing you with warm clothing made of fabric to replace
that animal skins you used before.
We apologise for building roads and railway tracks between cities and
building cars so that you no longer have to walk over harsh terrain.

Regarding the comment "Up until recently diesel engines were the
preserve of European imports, but in the past 18 months Holden, Ford
and Mazda have all launched diesel-powered mid-sized
sedans.".........had no idea there was a mid-size Holden diesel. What
is it? Surely not the Astra?
Honda looks alright though, if a little predictable. ;-)

Faaark, just checked out a 2007 Landcruiser at the local dealership, low
kilometreage, unmarked throughout and still has the new smell, plus all the
nice goodies, cruise, mags, 6 stacker, plus auto.
At $39,990 (which means you could possibly get it for $35,990) I thought,
there must be something wrong here. Then I went around the back and noticed
a little badge that said it all.
Can you guess what it said?
Beers & Cheers
Roger

Tomorrow I take delivery of two brand new 380's.
I have purchased these as investments for my two grandchildren.
I have hired a storage area and will fully wrap these vehicles up so little
to no air gets near the paintwork and inside.
I have promised Teghan and Rafer they can have the cars to use or sell on
their 18th birthdays.
$26,000 each now they should be worth in the 60k area in 14-16 years

My 1989 Hilux has the 6-stud steel split rims. I want to change to
some normal steel rims so I don't have to worry about tubes anymore.
I would've thought that the current model Hilux's steelies would just
fit straight on, so I rang up Toyota for a price. After I told the guy
from the parts department that I was intending to do a straight swap
on my '89, his words were "Oooh I wouldn't bet on that".
Why would Toyota change stud patterns? I find that very unlikely
considering how popular and wide-spread the Landcruiser/Hilux rims
are. To make something like that no longer "backwards compatible"
would be just stupid.
I'll find out eventually but I thought some of you guys might know for
sure.
