I know the Holden ad is pretty bogus (actually I find all adverts crap).
But was the Ford marketing campaign smoking joints for this one?.

clogged fuel filter causes engine to overheat?

Author: Borked Pseudo Mailed

My wife worked for 6 months as a car detailer in a BMW Autohaus.
She says while she was there, there had two cars in the workshop
that overheated because the fuel filter was dirty.
I never heard this before. I reckon the mechanics were pulling
her leg (because she is umm the dumb blonde).
I don't see how too little fuel would cook an engine.
Or is this a trait of the Bavarian engines?

  New car tax ...

Buy your luxo before Tuesday.

Labor GovCo ... surprise surprise.

Did LaborCo stop to consider that there are
some folk who worked for what they have?

Not claim child payments, or other payments,
or tax deductions, paid tolls and land tax for
most of their lives?

Well fuck it, I'm going to sit back and relax with
what I have - I've paid my way.

  High speed overtaking idiots.

Author: Sylvia Else
Date: May 11, 2008 05:14

I shared the driving from Sydney to Dubbo and back over the last three days.

Some notable efforts from other drivers included

a) Overtaking at 100+km/h on the other side of double white line and
chevron marked roadway.

b) Following me about a car length behind when I'm overtaking someone
else, again at 100+km/h. What if I changed my mind? I never have done
after starting an overtake, but there's always a first time. This was P
plater.

Do some people just not like their lives?

Sylvia.

  Tyres

Author: John
Date: May 11, 2008 04:32

A couple of years ago, I had an EF Falcon, I asked in here what are the best
tyres for money to buy.

everyone said Hankooks for 399 for the set was the best.

Best tyres I have ever bought!

Now we have ann AUII, it has 16" wheels.

Are Hankook still a good tyre or is there better ones to get?

Same moneys would be good.

Thanks
