The security process is often best handled by the flying school you intend
to do your flying with since it means $$$ to them. So maybe you should
work out where you want to fly first and go from there. SR20GOER is right
though....... the security arrangements are a VERY time consuming process
and can take months to complete.
My suggestion. Think of where you would like to do some general travel and
sightseeing and then conduct your training there, because your navigation
training will give you the opportunity to see quite a bit of the nearby
country.
If you're not travelling alone, perhaps a major city, like Sydney,
Melbourne or Brisbane is the best option because there is plenty in the
way of entertainment and attractions to keep the other half busy while
you're buried in your books.
Don't be fooled into thinking it's an easy process. 8 weeks is not much
time and it's not an -easy- course to complete. Perhaps you should
consider a course of home study to get the theory exams out of the way, so
once you get here it's just a matter of flying!
