Maybe some of you knew him in GA and Ultralight circles, but Bernie Hansford,
ex-WW2 RAAF pilot (Spitfires or Hurricanes) and LVAC regular died this week aged
83.

I knew him when he was CO of the local ATC Flight 26 back in the 70s and when I
went to school with his sons, one of whom now flies his Corby Starlet. (he also
has quals with Cessnas).

Recently, another pioneer of GA in this area, Des Kelly who helped found the
Latrobe Valley airport and Aero Club also passed away. Another WW2 vet as well.
