Fark, I can't let that slip by unchallenged either!!

In 1972 Jen had Adam and has been at home since. 36 years of "one wage". I
worked in the corporate world plus my own business. Seven days a week for
30 years. Funnily, the harder I worked the luckier I got. * Message there*
Unfortunately, because there was no income splitting my tax was ginormous
and the income meant we missed out on all the handouts - as we paid for
others handouts who didn't want to work.

"I'm willing to bet another $6.85 that you, like me, are living in a
comfortable home with all of the support that a civilised society has to
offer."
Get orf the grass Sam, I'm a self funded retiree and what I get offered is
only the tax cuts that the Government knows it must offer to keep me from
p1ssing it up against the wall and then bludging on the pension. The home
is comfortable because I made the care of my family a life priority - not
weekends at the footy, cricket, BBQ, or pub. It really sh1ts me when people
tell me I'm well off - first because I'm not and second because I'm just a
taxpayer not an acknowledged "disadvantaged" minority. A bit like the
disadvantaged that used to drive from the settlement into Copley one up in
three or four government provided 4WD rather than all together in the one
vehicle - because they could.

Re-read that quote I posted Sam. How long does a race keep blaming history
for their current behaviour. I came from a middle class family, I didn't
get to Uni until in my mid forties. No handouts, I paid for it on HECS.

I've worked with the disadvantaged. Some really are. Adam worked for
Centrelink for 15 years. Some really aren't. I've been involved in
employing indigenous. Like us some are good some are bad. But over how
many generations do you want to give them a handicap start before they take
on some self ownership of their problem?

I luv being at parties when this discrimination crap is bandied around by
people trying to show they are not racially prejudiced. My favourite jaw
dropper is to ask, unsolicited at the right moment, "so, you'd let your
daughter marry an *aborigine, muslim etc* and then later point out that the
greater the distance from the problem the greater the b..s mantra people
chant.

But, I'm always happy to have my views checked by other white Australians
who like myself have suffered prejudice for marrying non white Australians.
If you are in that category, Sam, keep the drift going. If not, accept the
fact that Australia has pumped billions of dollars into a false conscience
of propping up the indigenous and, as proven by Littlejohn a year ago, it
has been uncontrolled, unaudited, and unsuccessful.

Forget your bets, I've never had the spare cash to gamble. Got stuff all to
do with aviation but I'm sick of the culture cringe and the over the top
response to a non-threatening joke circulating the internet.

Talk to Jen some time and she'll tell you about prejudice. Grrrrrrrr!
