Singapore Airlines made aviation history again yesterday, operating its
1,000th A380 commercial flight.
Launched on 25 October 2007, clocking 8500 flying hours and carrying
almost 400,000 customers.
To date, 140 pilots and 2,000 cabin crew have been trained to fly and
serve onboard the aircraft.
Singapore Airlines currently has five A380s in service. It is scheduled
to receive a further 14 A380s (the next one in September 2008), and has
options on a further six.

Missus is spewing. She's in London and is flying home via SIN on Saturday. But
she's on a B744. She wanted to go on the A380.
She's hoping that it's not as cramped and uncomfortable as the UAL 744 and 777
that she was on to get from MEL-JFK and IAD-LHR.

Hmm. Well, hopefully the SIA B744s are a bit more comfortable than the UAL ones.
Whatever, She's currently in transit between LHR and SIN on one of them.

I have had the SQ A380 experience - and it was the best flight of my life.
I will be trying to get on it again as often as I can.

Just spoke to her (geez, VOIP is great). The flight was OK. I didn't ask for
details but she didn't bitch about it.
So, one more leg leaving tonight for MEL.
