Reporters sucked in -again

Some on this newsgroup with an intimate relationship with their GP and
scant respect for reporters will appreciate this one... reported in
last Thursday's Australian.

Several papers reported a recall of patients whose GP had injured his
index finger and had been forced to carry out prostate examinations
with other than his preferred finger. This turned out to be less
accurate, and the examinations would have to be repeated- hence the
recall.

Turns out the original news release was a complete fabrication.....

I would have thought that something like that would've been published on or
around the 1st April...

They've been scammed so many times on 1/4 that they are probably a
little more alert around then.....
