he broke a wooden prop in a taxy manouver.
a very very different situation to a cessna 172 banging a metal prop.
have you ever read the regs?
do you realise that it is entirely legal to fly a totally unairworthy
aircraft to a base for maintenance.
there are conditions but it is totally legal to do it.
