Nah - waste of effort. Just switch to Sinngapore. At least they have
autoland - as well as better food, cabin and ground service. And nice
looking trolley dollys :-)

Turns out my last QF flight was my 2nd last. Decided to give 'em one more
chance Syd-Seoul, even tho' it was more $s than Singapore.

At check-in in Syd it turns out its bloody Asiana, not Qantas. Nowhere,
absolutely nowhere, on the paperwork etc we have does it mention codeshare
nor Asiana.

Anyway, one more reason to avoid Qantas and one more airline to fly.
Asiana, a Korean airline, was impressive.

2 greaser landings - and we were in row 31 both ways, so roughly over the
mains.
Oddly, I could feel the ground effect each landing which I've never before
experienced in a heavy.
I expect you wouldn't up at the pointy end so the landings were even more
impressive in that case. Really enjoyed the "jump on the feather mattress"
feeling knowing then it would be a greaser :-)
If we have any heavy drivers left here they might like to comment whether or
not you can feel that 20m away and much higher in the cockpit.

In addition the cabin service was schmick-the-duck as was the food. No
Bundy but a good French Merlot and orange juice/water trays circulating
regularly for the entire flights, unlike Qantas.

The a/c was a 777-200 both ways with seat pitch generous enough that even my
Missus commented on it. As Pits will attest, having plied her with wine in
Perth :-), she has very long legs.

One thing was different. On the arm/disarm and cross-check, both hosties
*went* to both doors, not just looked across the cabin. One would
arm/disarm the door, the other would point to the new door handle position
and confirm "Armed" or "Disarmed" - then they'd report the door status by
the door position number. Seemed to me a very robust procedure - a bit
like Virgin's use of a ribbon.

I'd fly with 'em again........
