What a load of bullshit.
"A detailed investigation of the circumstances surrounding Budd's death had
revealed the possibility of friendly fire, the newspaper reported. An
examination of his body had shown the ammunition used to shoot him was of
the same calibre employed by British forces. "
And the exact same calibre employed by the Australian, American, New
Zealand, German, blah blah blah.
In other words, it was NATO 5.56mm ammo. Not exclusively British.
"According to the paper, the only other possibility is that Taliban fighters
got hold of British weapons on the black market, or stole them. "
Bullshit. It could have been from captured NATO weapons, or something made
in Pakistan to fire captured 5.56mm NATO ammunition.
As usual, the media, and those who jump on the media bandwagon in search of
something sensational, are full of shit.
