Old Aircraft Identification.

Hi all,
I'm thinking this will be a bit of a long shot with the limited
information, but i'm interested in finding out the type of aircraft in the
following picture :
http://collections.ncc.nsw.gov.au/keemu/objects/common/webmedia.php?irn=25656&reftable...

Unfortunately I can't post the picture as it's copyrighted, so to view
you have to go to the site. Background is my wife is tracing her family
history and it seems to include several people in the photo and it's
apparently from 1935, I haven't been able to find anything from that era yet
as a posible candidate for the aircraft type, I'm thinking it can't have
motors on the wings as the people in the picture take up a fair bit of
space, the location is possibly Melbourne or Newcastle.I can see the rhs
under carriage seems fixed and out at 45 deg or so and possibly a radial
engine at the front. So if anyone can shed any light as to a possible
aircraft type, it would be greatly appreciated !
Thanks,
Steve.
