G'Day Folks,
We are buying some new magnetos from the USA.
Can anyone advise the cheapest/easiest way to tranfer significant
funds (about AUD$4,000) to an account with the Wells Fargo bank in
California?
THe company I am dealing with does not have credit card facilities.
(Don't worry- the company is reputable- several others here have
purchased this conversion kit from them. The originator of the company
(Ed Clark) died some time back but his wife (Connie Clark) is
maintaing this aspect of his business.)
We have all the details of their bank account- including exotic items
such as "Routing Number", "Swift Number" as well as the account
number, account name, bank name and address.
We are considering Western Union, and also looking at bank-to-bank
transfer, although this latter may not be possible with our bank (Bank
SA).

St George Bank Internet banking has a 'Transfer to an international account'
under 'Transfers & Payments' where you can request an Overseas Telegraphic
Transfer Access form which it states that you fill in, submit and wait 2 days
for it to be processed, then proceed with Overseas Telegraphic Transfers. Isn't
Bank SA affiliated with St George ?
