I'm glad I rang and argued my case with AIG! They just rang me and the Hong
Kong office has agreed to accept my insurance application after all! :-)

So does that cover you in an aircraft accident as well, or did they
accept the policy with conditions.

They have accepted the policy with no exclusions. I confirmed that with the
guy when he rang me. His initial suggestion when I first rang to complain
was that they may accept it, but with an aviation exclusion. He has
confirmed to me that the policy has now been accepted without any
exclusions, and the letter of acceptance that I will soon receive in the
mail will confirm it in writing, so good news for me! :-)

They didn't alter the price from the original quote. Policy accepted with
no exclusions, and no premium loading.

unique in insurance that one.
all insurance I see these days still has the 'only covered in a
commercial RPT' exclusion.
I have for a long time now not been polite with the sales people over
the exclusion.
