Jetstar Passengers Stranded Again in Cairns and Honolulu
http://www.jetstar.com/skylights/cgi-bin/skylights.cgi?module=FL&lang=auen&language...
Note "cut and paste" on their website totally screwed the advice to
passengers in Cairns, as it makes reference to the Honolulu stranding.
In summary:
1) 10 AUG 07 - JQ2 HNL-MEL now delayed by 24 hours and passengers are
forced to fly via Sydney rather than direct to Melbourne.
2) 09 AUG 07 - JQ63 CNS-NGO delayed by 29 hours.
No doubt about it, Jetstar is an absolute disgrace.

I heard the add as I diligently washed the dishes last night and thought to
myself , " love to wash THAT ADD down with the left overs. What a load of
Bullshit!" By my reckoning it craps all over any crediblity SkyTrax may ever
have had, never mind Jetstar, who manage to get themselves in the media with
regular monotony, for all the wrong reasons! Like Pollies over West who seem
to have the local TV channels by the short and curlies every sunday evening.
Sunday night is "watch a pollie night" followed by Jetstar's bizarre adds!
Gimme a break.

The SkyTrax and that ad your seeing is only for the cabin crew. They
haven't been at the performance award.
The other one is more obscure, maybe even James Packer could hold shares
in the magazine who awarded Jetstar.
"Australia’s low fares airline Jetstar has won Airline Business
magazine’s award for Operational excellence for 2007."
http://www.jetstar.com/pdf/news/20070717.pdf
But hey they haven't been under 77%% for any month all this year.

Like most awards, you have to apply to participate, others haven't bothered.

Rob, isn't in a bit like me paying a group of some sorts to come up with an
award that says "Best Australian Aviation Newsgroup Wit of the Year" and
I'm the only one in the category?

Speaking of things "Jetstar" , love the way they cater for the West
Australian market! Try flying to Phuket, Hon Chin Minh out of Perth..sure
via Avalon or Sydney...or Perth-Sydney, sure via Avalon then onto
Tullamarine perhaps. Might just give them a miss and let them earn their
lovely awards without me!
